Welcome to The HELP Fellowship

Scaling Up Excellence

We Have Inducted!

Meet our fellows!

From several applications to 22 participants and now to 10 final inductees. It was four months of rigorous training and challenging projects. Meet our 10 young professionals who emerged fellows in the 2018 edition of the HELP Fellowship! In the course of the training, these fellows developed solutions to important challenges in the society.

The HELP Fellowship is a four-month annual leadership immersion programme in innovation management designed to empower young professionals to attain their ultimate career dreams and inspire innovation in their spheres. Its chief aim is to unleash human potentials and scale up excellence.

For developing countries to make sustainable economic advancement there has to be a culture of excellence. Certainly, excellence is a culture. As with all cultures, it must  be implanted, cultivated, and grown within the fabrics of our civilization. This three-stage process is what we refer to as scaling up excellence.

The HELP Fellowship is structured to operate in two stages. First is the fellowship: a challenging but rewarding three-month programme focused on training in leadership and innovation management. Second is the membership: mentorship and continuous personal development. The HELP Fellowship is entirely free.

With globalization, deregulation, knowledge work and new technology, rapidly disrupting the marketplace, organisations are now in endless search for initiative, innovation, commitment, smarts, and passion in its members. So, our aim is to train our Fellows ready to lead profound changes as high performance employees, emerge outstanding entrepreneurs, and be at the forefront of innovation for development.

HELP Fellowship

Selection is important. We select ANYONE who has demonstrated seed of excellence in them. To him who is faithful in little, more is given.

Training is key. We provide training on life skills and innovation management to participants. We teach them to approach problems using the APE (Abundance, Possibility, and Empowerment) lens.

Through a well-structured mentorship programme, passion and purpose are sustained in fellows. We discover the power of apprenticeship in success attainment.

The HELP Fellowship is a four-month challenging scholarship programme for young professionals.

The theme of the HELP fellowship is "scaling up excellence". The fellowship programme includes: lectures, plenary sessions, workshops, and demonstrations.

Insightful subthemes that will be covered in the lectures include:

Leadership in Innovation and Innovation in Leadership: In this subject, profound insights will be drawn on how individual leaders can inspire and influence others for optimum performance, and how innovation in leadership will become a key differentiator between organizations that thrive and those that do not.

Innovation TrendsInnovation trends across industries is a non-exhaustive subject. Here, experts will lead participants in a dive into the technological waves, advances, opportunities and threats industries are facing today.

Innovation Management: Innovation is data-driven and iterative. Here, experts will expose participants to innovation management subjects such as innovation strategy, adoption, execution, measurement, and idea management.

Other aspects of the curriculum will include: plenary sessions with industry captains, workshops with experts, and demonstration of skills and gamification in leadership with expert facilitators.
